To recap the chain of discussion, so you can better understand what I'm asking:
I said that moving automation data away from the item data it was written for is bad behavior.
You said "there are scenarios when it makes great sense".
I asked if you could describe one, because I couldn't think of any.
You said "where there is NO item attached".
I replied that this is not relevant to the question, which is specifically about item data (non-item data, aka automation, already moves, so it's not a problem).
I can see the value in always moving all data together. What I can't see is the value in moving
some of the data. I'm trying to think of scenarios where this makes sense and can't, but you said there are scenarios where it makes sense.
Can you share one?
