Allow me also to remind about the usefulness of
linking slurs to legato overlaps - and sorry, please, if this has been discussed elsewhere -. I donīt know if it is fair to quote a couple of features from Sibelius here, but one could even define the overlap range for slurred notes and the length for unslurred ones (in both cases, with percentages of written values)
