Yeah, condensers or ribbons are the ticket. One thing about ribbons is they are rather fragile.
The best AC Gtr mics I ever had were a matched pair of AKG 451 condenser mics, they are rather expensive, but I've used them for a lot of things, especially Ac Gtr and OH for the drums. Keep in mind you'll want 2 mics for stereo.

Wow, and they're not that expensive. I'll be anxious to hear how it sounds Jeff. I've still got my old Yamaha AcGtr, it's great for lead, but ugly for rhythm. I've always wanted a Martin, but most of my clients had one, so there was always one around.
