No luck... I tried what you wrote above. Disabled my "wavetable synth" but no play... no record...

Soundcard is a Realtek on board with latest v1.82 drivers, Vista is genuine Home Premium and Asio4all is v2.8 latest release.
Reaper is latest release and registered to my computer.
On my previous install it was working flawlessly...
