Created & imported midis - as midi items (in project) + Opt to save all Midi's
.
It can be a pain when you use the recommended setting to
.
create midi items - as midi items (in project)
import existing midi files - as midi items (in project)
The other option for both created and imported midis is to sav them as .mid files.
The first setting has more functionality in reaper and I find I am always switching between the two.
The best of both worlds would be for reaper to have another option that would enable us to use the 1st option
create midi items - as midi items (in project)
import existing midi files - as midi items (in project)
Then with these settings an option [happening simultaneously] to save all our midi files [created & imported] to a folder in the project directory. These files would be independent of the project unless we imported them back in to reaper.
Perhaps we could have a folder for imported midi's and another folder for created midis. Reaper would like a Magic dragon know which was which and put the files in the right folders.
Midis files are small so no bloating.
I know you can save files etc but this would make life easier.
