I really miss being able to paste in an item from the clipboard while playing - be it audio or MIDI - and to hear it as it went past.

Cubase does it (but it's Cubase!

) - and I always wanted this is a DAW for visual work where you needed to spot things while playing.

Someone suggested making a shortcut to pause, paste, play but pasting makes the play cursor jump forward to after the item, whereas you want to hear the item "live"!
