Reaper's only way to control the volume of the track after the Track FX is with the Track Volume Envelope or the fader itself.
You haven't actually given anywhere near enough info for me to help you further. There are all kinds of ways to fade various things, and IDK which you're using. There are all kinds of VSTs out there, and IDK which one(s) you're using. All of this matters, so...
