I think -18dBFSD≡+4dBu is a US "standard" whereas the European equivalent tends to be -20dBFSD≡+4dBu (from memory, I'm at a gig and I can't check it).

A&H tend to do 0dBu desks now, my ML is 0 rather than +4dBu.
