I am recording guitars sometimes have to patch in with a time selection....often there is a tiny click between the drop ins meaning I have to stretch the audio a little to create a cross-fade.

That is normal behaviour but i've notice sometimes the audio is clicking if I have just created a split in the track and then I have to drag the split area together to fix it. Why is this? There was no click until I split the audio.
