If I remember rightly, I too wasnt actually using the Nvidia card in my machine at the time it crashed Reaper.
BUT after I removed the driver update kindly applied by windows (without asking me if I wanted it or not) and installed the RIGHT one from Nvidia direct, all was well.
Worth a try.
And before the Win10 whiners get all over this, I was on Win7 at the time.
