The "Local" slider inside ReaNINJAM only affects what you're hearing - not what's sent. If you want to adjust the mix you hear, it's those sliders you should use.

However, as the default in ReaNINJAM is for remote channels to monitor at -12dB, I strongly recommend you have your "Local" monitor level at -12dB, too, so you're equally loud in the mix. Then you can hear your relative actual level and adjust your pre-NINJAM amplification to fit.
