Does not immediately communicate the left/right width and placement within the available field.
Split horizontal faders with a linking capability to enable placement of desired width within field... I believe there is a nice mockup of many feature "wants" that had this... Brice maybe? Evil Dragon?

Always found it amusing that an app without single channel width would default to, and be limited to, a panning system that is best used with such; with multi-channel this "panning" becomes "balance."
