Perhaps tap drumming is the wrong expression.
I have midi keyboard with pads to which I have assigned kick, snare, high-hat, etc.
I really enjoy playing them as opposed to creating loops and it helps improve my rhythm plus I don't have to "normalise" my drumming afterwards, I do that naturally.
So how do they manage to add the different effect on kick and snare when the track has a real drummer playing?
