Anticipative FX will (in some instances) use project time to determine how far ahead to render, so if you have a playrate of say 0.25, and antfx of 200ms, it will render 200ms of the project, which is 800ms of audio. Which explains the increased lag you're seeing (and also memory use probably). The fix is trivial, however it will wait for 5.33 as it will need thorough testing and we're too late in the 5.32 cycle.
