Have you tried to save it as a preset in FX (Reaper)? That maybe a workaround and frankly a faster way to load your exs instrument. Just click the + symbol in the tracks FX and name it and save it.
That should save it into:
users/(username)/library/audio/presets/apple/ausampler/
