enables me to make it look anywhere near that shot at the bottom of your post #1.

I don't know if it's colorsets, screensets, layouts or what. Probably a combination.
What do you have going on there in that screen grab? Any advice for someone trying to duplicate it (Uhhhh... that be me)?
