Sometimes, what looks nice is actually not ergonomic in the spur of the moment because things get blurry
(ears working, eyes not so much...) - shadow gives visual orientation to the rest of the interface and is a good choice not by itself but in the complete GUI layout.
Every theme
(or any other workflow modification) should be judged during working hours, not outside of it when our eyes are more engaged and thus working in a different mode.
