made some progress on the hanging-on-bootup issue that seems to have started for me after v6.10/64 on linux.
i bit the bullet and tried debugging the ~.config/REAPER folder. what i found is that everything seems fine except the reaper.ini file. i renamed the .config/REAPER folder and reaper created a new one. then i started moving things over to the newly created folder from the old one. everything worked except when i copied the reaper.ini file.
after that i started going through the reaper.ini file and adding and replacing sections in it until i found where it was hanging. what i found was that, pretty much, everything was ok in the reaper.ini file with the exception of this section:
Code:
[trackmgr]
colwid_0=30
colwid_1=236
dock=1
flags=0
wnd_height=362
wnd_left=0
wnd_top=0
wnd_vis=1
wnd_width=468
if i use the old reaper.ini file, the bootup hangs. if i use the old reaper.ini file but delete the above section, it boots fine.
edit:
more info: if i run reaper with the track manager section deleted, my docker has no track manager in it. if i open the track manager and add it to the docker, thereby creating a new track manager entry in the reaper.ini file, the crashing happens again. something doesn't seem to like the track manager.
edit2:
happens whether the track manager is docked or not.
any ideas about this?
