No, If You use latest 4.3x pre You can set in the Options> MIDI editor "open all track midi" and You can select only one item, it will open all items at once.

Right, if You select option: "only active item is editable"
BUT UNFORTUNATELY there is one thing broken during latest pres and I hope it will be fixed until all new MIDI editor options will be released:
After opening a MIDI item in "Open all track MIDI" mode, only ACTIVE item should remain selected, not ALL items, as it is now.
I hope that Cockos will fix it in the next pre!
