Default Need to Update Reaper

I'm currently running v5.76 and it is working fine.

I am a firm believer in "If it works, Don't fix it".
However, I was wondering if I'm missing out on some of the things that have been fixed or added to in the JSFX (i.e. Parameter modulations etc...)

Is this a simple download new installer and run it, or are the more steps I would need to take?

Any advice wwill be greatly accepted and appreciated!

Updating is simply installing the new version over the old one. It's no different than installing for the first time.

And your existing settings, preferences etc. will all be retained.

And if there's some issue that is introduced in a new version that has you wanting to go back to your other version, there is no easier DAW to do this with. If you still have the older version just copy it back over the new one. If you no longer have it or the install, just head over to the Downloads and Old Versions have a link at the bottom of the page. FWIW, I always install newly released versions (to take advantage of new tweaks) because it's so easy and painless to go back.

It was easy and painless. No issues that I have come across so far.
And yes, I have the previous install from when I originally set up Reaper.

Now I'm encouraged to give this SWS install a try.. especially after watching the vid from Reaper Blog.

I'll probably post a new question in the newbie section. I'm sure it will help others after me too.
