Yeah really hope this part of Reaper can be tidied up, not sure if it bugs other people but it's not consistent with other windows. V6 seems like an ideal opportunity to get it fixed or working more elegantly.

I might of missed the solution or discussion to this but is there a way to stop the new theme forgetting it's settings each time you load reaper again?
I tried saving it as a new theme, saving it with the default, saving the project with settings changed.
None of those work. I'm sure I had the theme updated zip package too.
Is it me or a bug that everyone has?

I envy you I'm not a dreamer, but a realist.

I made shortcuts to apply custom layout, and a made a Layout for "Selected Mixer Panel A" and B, but it does not work.

I gave this a try, many times. There is definitely something wrong....everything.
I'm sorry, I know there was a lot of work to make this, you asked not to make criticisms, but this just can't be the new default theme. I'm not going to talk about why the design is wrong, but I'm telling you that as someone who relies on Reaper for paid work....this theme is taking steps backwards. I'm not as veteran as most here, but it still needs to be said and I hope it is at least heard.

DEV version of REAPER to test this.
Sorry I'm quite new to Reaper... There are so many variables... Please What is "DEV version of REAPER"?

White Tee makes monsterous themes. Currently, I enjoy the bounty of the imperial theme, which has somehow grown a mammoth patch of curly hair on my chest darker than a moonless night--within a two week period after install.

Can we call white text on a white selected item background a bug? Or is that one of the things we arent supposed to talk about?

Sorry if this has been mentioned before.
We can barely see the other tracks currently; V5 default is clear.

Isn't this an aspect of the new theme that's not for review yet? I believe it's stated in the first post that this has not been worked on and is not what we're supposed to be discussing here. Yet.

At the bottom of the MIDI Editor is a color setting. Set it to "Track" or "Media item" and you can color it to make it more visible.

Yeah I know. But they are barely visible in ALL color settings (velocity, channel, pitch, source, track, media item, voice). And it's not because it's a dark theme. Other dark ME themes' background allow for better track item visibility.
EDIT: OK, I have to set a track color each to see the others. Resolved.

Okay, I didn't test this theme myself.

The level of policing and censorship on this thread is staggering and it's immaturity will not go unnoticed. I guess some people need to hang onto what little power they have in life. I have every right to express my opinion here too. And so I am posting again. If pipelineaudio can have an opinion, I am allowed to agree with it. And post about it like he/she did.
I agree with poetnprophet. There is definitely something wrong. Especially with the tracks minimizing.
Please stop deleting my post. All you do is show yourself. Thanks!

Unfortunately not..
It seems random when it happens though. Perhaps it's when I use a windowset that it resets. I'll double check that.
Tried all kinds of saves though and nothing works.

I think white tie said midi editor and few other things haven't been focused on yet so there will be some issues.

I haven't tested this new theme but simply read WT's intro, oggled the pics and felt compelled to say: WOW!
This looks like a lot of fun. And...3d is back, Jack. Woohoo!
Can't wait to see this beautiful creation working in all its glory in a future v6 RC.
It's also great to see that the same talented individuals are all still working together to make Reaper something special; something more than just a DAW.

This thread is long and noisy. Has there been an update to this or are we still working with the one from back in May?
