Unfortunately bug is here.
But not the same. Now here is the bug which was only for not pucks parameters. Here it for pucks too.
Look attentively at the mouse click and hold in the gif.

My hope was that we can use keys (assigned to global hotkeys) in plugin text fields.

Holding the mouse mod for compress don't change the mouse icon for tilt

Indeed, especially in Omnisphere this is a problem.

macOS: rename Intel 64-bit version of REAPER to REAPER.app, update volume labels of disk images
|
I'm hoping this small app name change from a few months ago makes it into a release version sometime soon. As it stands now the release versions and the +dev versions use different filenames for the app (REAPER64.app and REAPER.app respectively) which results in the mildly annoying situation of having two different versions of Reaper installed.
Is there something that's preventing the name change from making it into a release?

Just fear of a ton of confusion resulting in the change, but we'll do it for the next RC and get it over with!

It's an internal thing to allow reaper-native plug-ins to customize some behavior... not an end-user-usable thing.

Ah okay, thanks Justin. So if I got this right, I could point Spectrasonics to this and they would be able to implement it?

Hmm possibly but it's designed more for things like ReaImGui.
It may be possible for us to add an option to allow global shortcuts to work within non-bridged plug-ins, let me look into that.

So Reaper extensions can use it?
Where is it documented (didn't find anything in reaper_plugin.h on your GitHub nor v6.29rc2 generated reaper_plugin_functions.h)?

Just to be sure we are on the same page:
Space is assigned as a global hotkey and doesn't seem to work in the search field.
Instead, play is triggered (what I have assigned to space).
EDIT: hmm actually it's the same, even when space is set to normal instead global.

No, it's turned off, because I want to be able to start / stop when the plugin has focus, but not when I click in a text field / box. I know, tricky...
EDIT: @nofish, okay I just tried that option, it works! I could swear it didn't in the past.
Sorry for the trouble.

Code:
int hwnd_info(HWND hwnd, INT_PTR info_type)
{
enum InfoType { IsInTextField = 0 };
enum RetVal { Unknown = 0, InTextField = 1, NotInTextField = -1 };
if(info_type == IsInTextField && is_our_window(hwnd))
return user_in_text_field ? InTextField : NotInTextField;
return Unknown;
}
plugin_register("hwnd_info", (void *)&hwnd_info);

It doesn't work with Softube Model 84. Same effect as in the gif with Omnisphere, but in the case of Model 84, "send all keyboard inputs to plugin" being on makes no difference. I actually bug reported it earlier today.

Only way round this I've worked out is to use "shift + space" but yeah.....would be nice if it was focus dependent

Ah thanks guys, I really thought I’m the only one having this issue. From the top of my head I could only think of Omni. Glad you mentioned some other plugins as well.

This same problem of text-box global spacebar play occurs in Kontakt also
(with or without send all keyboard input to plug-in)
(Tested on Reaper 6.27 Mac)

Yes, U-he presets come to mind, I use underscores and minus signs as a workaround.

FYI - are you using the latest builds? I was in RePro-5 for a good chunk of yesterday creating presets and the "Send all keystrokes to plugin" feature was definitely working as expected. I'm only really considering it a bug when the plugin doesn't respond as expected with that feature enabled.

Once you can generate a Sin/Square/Triangle/Noise on a Razor Edit and manipulate it using these new envelope modifiers, things will get real interesting

I would love that too, also would be great if there was a dedicated kind of toolbar were we could save and load any shape from and to RE.
Ideally would be nice also to have a right click menu for RE to open this toolbar or trigger other RE actions.

yes to all! this menu should be available in a customisable menu so that we can put our own actions there. (there is many useful thing done with RE API, and more can be done)
