Default making multi samples for DrumReaplacer

I tried and it doesn't detect all of my samples in the file. I set it up similar to the included files of samples. Is there a trick? Does it only work at 48k? Thanks ahead of time for any input

Make sure you're using the latest version of DrumReaplcer (can be found here https://stash.reaper.fm/oldsb/73658/DrumReaplacer_1.06a). In previous versions there was a bug that made DrumReaplacer sometimes miss the first sample.

Other than that there's only one trick to it and that's that there has to be at least 50 ms of digital silence between each sample. Try that if you haven't already and if it still doesn't work it would be great if you could upload your Sample source file (to for example stashbox.org) and post the link here so I can take a look at it.

Here's a link to two Sample source files (that you may or may not already have) http://shup.com/Shup/73662/Kick_and_...eline_Grip.zip

I also attached a preliminary version of the read me-file that'll accompany DrumReaplacer once it's done. Thanks for using DrumReaplacer!

Regards,
- Jonas

PS: If anyone else is wondering what DrumReaplacer is, take a look here http://forum.cockos.com/showpost.php...7&postcount=42 : DS

Great! I'm glad you like it!

If you could find the time it would be great to hear a song (or just a snippet from a song) where DrumReaplacer is used. No hurry and no pressure, of course.

- Jonas

Jonas, schwa said that JS would support a visual window for the threshold, that would be really super intensely cool!

Yeah, that's on my features-I-want-to-implement-list along with (the cool and original feature) phase match and a (not so original) stealth slider.

I'm guessing it'll come, only question is when. Also, if another programmer (I probably should say a *real* programmer) would give that a go that would be great! (DrumReaplacer is after all open source.)

- Jonas

I'll look into this as soon as possible, there seems to be some problem in the sample recognition code... Will post again shortly.

Found the bugger. Try this new version:

https://stash.reaper.fm/oldsb/79601/DrumReaplacer-1.0

... and let me know if it works like intended. (This problem occurred when the time from the start of a sample to its peak was larger than the pdc.)

Thanks for helping me improve DrumReaplacer!

- Jonas

Much better now, but its still doing something funny to the front of some of the notes

Can you try the hi tom posted above? Listen to the tom itself in the original waveform and compare with what comes out of drum reaplacer

Here's a new version that hopefully (Pipe?) has better timing with different types of samples:

https://stash.reaper.fm/oldsb/87278/DrumReaplacer-1.0

... technically I removed the RMS and replaced it with an envelope follower.

Regards,
- Jonas

PS: Haven't had time to check why the hi-tom sounds weird yet... : DS

Yeah! I finally found what made those hi tom samples sound like crap, and if the solution I'm working on now actually works it'll also make DrumReaplacer even more accurate.

Will post a new verison in a day or two.

- Jonas

https://stash.reaper.fm/oldsb/93408/DrumReaplacer-1.0

Go get it, uses funky transient detection to align samples with the incoming audio. It's very unpolished codewise (meaning there's a lot of inefficient debug stuff in there)but it seems to work great here. Let me know if you encounter any booboos.

- Jonas

Hey pipe,

That's weird, I just tried it on a fresh install on a mac and onmy old PC install and it works fine on both (with the samples posted here and others). Could you give it another go?

- Jonas

working GREAT on my desktop, not sure why its not going on my laptop

Hi tom still seems to be cutting off the front a bit, but all the samples are now happening at the right time, there's no more weird spacing going on!

An output volume control would be cool but either way this is working pretty good!
