Default Fixed Lane MIDI Visualization Bug

First, the new comping system is awesome. Well done.

Second, I don't know if this is a bug or if this is as intended. I get counterintuitive results when using the fixed lane system with MIDI.

When I comp different lanes, I end up with every combination of notes in the notation view.

This is what I see:

I expected to see something like this:

In the MIDI editor track list on the right, I think you have selected the items on lanes 2 and 3, which are both 2 bars long, rather than the items on lane 1, which are 1 bar long. We can add the lane information to the track list to make this clearer, I think.

I'm a fan of clarity. Regardless, I'm not sure selecting different options makes a difference. Perhaps I don't understand your prior point.

I would expect one of those views to have a chord of half notes on the second half of the measure.

Each row in the list represents a media item. I think the items that are on the first lane are listed first and last, so if you click the eye icon for those two, you should get the view you want. For the next release, the rows will be ordered by and labeled with the row name/number to make it clearer (this is already done in the current pre-release builds).

I see. I just replied to the most recent pre.

Interesting. That's actually a somewhat different bug: in notation view, notes that begin or end outside the bounds of the media item are displayed as if the media item bounds did not exist.

Ah, interesting. My current workflow doesn't deal with that situation, but the fixed lanes feature introduces some novel ways of using MIDI (for me, anyway).
