Thanks for the MIDI Editor improvements!

After installing the rc2 (was using v7.17 before), adjusting the velocity during the playback became very laggy. Also, it feels less responsive when it's not playing as well...

EDIT: I also noticed that REAPER started to freeze when switching to different MIDI Items while playing

Adjusting velocity and switching to different MIDI Items is running smoothly on Linux, can't tell on Windows or Mac.

Hey!
I sent the requested files to support@cockos.com.

I'm testing this on Windows 11 22H2.

Steps to reproduce the first issue:

-Open any MIDI Item in the MIDI EditorSelect a note or a group of notes
-Press Play
-Use the Custom Action to increase/decrease selected notes' velocity using mousewheel

(I use this to hear the velocity changes when scrolling the mousewheel)
-You'll see REAPER freezing and the responsiveness of the mousewheel less accurate.


Steps to reproduce the second issue:

-Open any MIDI Item in the MIDI Editor
-Press Play
-In the arrangement view or the ME Track List, click to select a different MIDI
-You'll see REAPER freezing for a short time before opening the MIDI Item
