What mouse modifier are you using, is it the default? Do you see that behavior with all velocity bars? The behavior seems quite smooth here.

MIDI CC event left click/drag: Edit selected events if any, otherwise draw/edit. (That's not default.)
MIDI CC lane left drag: Edit selected events if any, otherwise draw/edit. (That's default.)
"Allow selecting a single event in a CC lane with a mouse click" disabled.
Yes, happens on all velocity bars here.
EDIT: Trying other mouse modifiers for "default action", everything I try is jumpy as hell still!

I'm still seeing the exact same behavior as before; the new track is added in the folder, right after the parent.

Every time I read "automation" in a changelog I get excited for a minute hoping it says "edit multiple envelope lanes at once" or something along these lines

Is this installing for anyone? It did with a portable install here (in /Scripts/Cockos/lyrics.lua) but didn't with my main install. I can't see any actions in either either.

With a quick test, it appears that what I posted in post #2 in that thread is working properly. (lots of other nice stuff lately too)
I tried to reproduce "Region Move/Copy Bug 1" (in my sig) with pre 2 as well, and did not get the bad behavior. Is the tempo envelope affected by these or other recent changes? :fingers crossed:
One wrong thing I found (no idea if new) was when I moved a region into an area with a gradual tempo change. Had mouse cursor on a measure start before releasing mouse button. Region ended up in some other nearby spot. (and following project elements knocked off grid)

lyrics.lua doesn`t work for me. Feature comes from this request, right?
I did also some experience with lyrics, but i don`t see difference beetween different words and just sylables. Used this kar file. And this lua script.

I just discovered something, which i haven't experienced before in Reaper.
Within a Project with only 2 audio tracks, no track FX or item FX used at all, selecting tracks in tcp gave constant red flashes in transport bar.
I didn't change any audio performance setting in Reaper Prefs at all, before updating to this version.
But when i now turn off "disable media buffering for tracks that are selected" , in buffer prefs,
the red flashing is gone during switching tracks in tcp.
So i haven't had any red flashing with that setting turned on ,in previous Reaper versions, but now i must turn it off ,for the red flashing to go away.
OSX 10.12.1
Reaper 5.29pre2 - 64bit.

I don´t know if this has anything to do with what ED says about velocity editing, but I´m finding myself in situations where moving up/down the velocity bar of a note that is exactly below another one (as in a keyboard passage with octaves) seems to be blocked (modifier : ctrl+shift+move the bar with mouse´s pointer). Only when I move slightly left or right the note in question I can edit it normally...

Hopefully fixed in pre3 -- I think if you had "zoom-dependent CC density" set it wouldn't be an issue (the bug is that setting shouldn't affect velocity edits anyway)
