Default .mp3 enquiry.

Hi All,

I have just finished a piece of music & rendered to an .mp3 file.

What I would like to do is attach this to a document in Pages so I can email this to a friend

so he can, possibly, click on a button on the document to play the piece.

Is this at all possible, does anyone know?

Or am I just dreaming?

Many thanks in advance.

Any specific reasons why you want to embed the mp3 file (instead of sending the mp3 directly to your friend)?

Otherwise have a look at this article: https://support.apple.com/kb/PH23660...ewlocale=en_US

Yes, the music was composed to compliment the document.

Well I read that article earlier on, thanks, & went through the motions but I couldn't seem to find a way to successfully email the resulting.Pages document.

What are you using as email application?
And any error messages when trying to attach the Pages document file to an email?

OK, I don't use Apple Mail, but attaching the Pages document file to an email should usually work. Otherwise try to compress the document to a .zip file first (and attach this one).
More info here: https://support.apple.com/kb/PH22285?locale=en_US

EDIT: Also have a look at the 'Share > Send a copy > Mail' option inside Pages: https://support.apple.com/kb/PH23731...S&locale=en_US

Hi solger,

Just tried attaching the file again - & it worked fine this time.

Earlier, when I clicked on the attached file in the email body, it opened up like this:

So problem solved. Thanks very much for your help & time - much appreciated.
