Default Toggle Straight / Swing Grid

Currently no way of doing this AFAIK. The only way to do it is to have two different key commands, one for each.

Oh sorry I was unclear. I meant in the Midi Editor.

OP asked for a toggle action, which doesn't exist in MIDID editor. The reaseon is that in MIDI editor the grid options are different.

Tracks:
* spacing in note lengths
* triplets with added T (listed in combo box)
* no dotted lengths
* swing slider always visible

MIDI editor:
* spacing in note lengths
* triplets possible with added T (not listed in combo box, hidden feature)
* triplets as extra option
* dotted lengths as extra option
* swing as extra option
* swing slider only visible when "swing" is activated

It would be possible to create an action that toggles between "straight" and "swing" for the MIDI editor. OTOH it might be better if the possible options would be unified, eg by allowing a D to be added for dotted note lengths (for tracks and in MIDI) and removing the mode drop down in the MIDI editor (adding the swing checkbox).

Exactly. It's bizarre that we are in V5 and it doesn't exist to begin with. I'm sure many people who work in a variety of genres would find it useful?

You can use SWS cycle actions to create your own toggle action... And since now we have an option for the grid size/type to be matched between arrange/MIDI editor, even better.
