Default I love this thing...

Soundbrenner haptic metronome watch...

Picked it up earlier in the week. I could see some not liking it but it immediately 'clicked' with me because you can feel it against what you are playing - been jamming with it all week. It can sync with multiple other ones so you could have everyone in the band in sync albeit that isn't my immediate purpose.

I had gotten it to let my drummer try at practice and thought it might be better than having a click banging in your ear, which it is. Since we are getting ready to record, we wanted to just sanity check timing beforehand. We are generally great at it but this will be ideal for simply smoothing any rough edges we have gotten in the habit of not noticing after six months of writing. The only drawback is it doesn't interface with Reaper but does a with a couple of other DAWs.

You can also control it with an iDevice or Android which is the way I use it most.

Throw in a nice set of stick on "Spock" ears and you're the talk of the next star trek convention.

Heh heh, wow, so which wrist/hand do you put it on karbo, the left or right? I would think moving your hand and wrist while playing would kind of interfere with it. Especially a drummer.

Hi Tod,

I had it on my left wrist, didn't seem to bother me much. It comes with a larger band so you can do your upper arm/ankle etc. but haven't tried that yet.

I kind of like the idea. Does it sync via Bluetooth or network and is there a master and slaves setup or just a global clock source?

Bluetooth, and they all sync as slaves to the Android/iPad etc. AFAIK. That's as far as I have dug so far.

Had mentioned a little earlier... The only drawback is it doesn't interface with Reaper but does a with a couple of other DAWs. My main reason for getting it was as a rehearsal tool, though I wouldn't turn down Reaper interoperability.

Interesting idea. Next year every band has it hidden around their feet and finally even bassist can count a whole measure .

How is latency with Bluetooth?

Seems OK to me feeling it vs what the android displays though I don't look at it too much. It can work standalone but cooler with the companion app.

If we would know how I'm rather sure Reaper could be tweaked to that.

Just technically:
There is old fashioned Bluetooth that introduces a rather badlatency.

Modern devices use "Blootoopth LE" which features a quite decent latency specification.

Yea, no doubt. I'm not guessing there is an API but haven't checked.

So how do you deal with the latency?

We use it in conjunction with the rhythm method.
