Jazz/Blues female backing singer
I have a song just assembled in a tidy enough form.
I would, like everybody... well most I would say
like to have a selection of husky, a little edgy, fine female
ad-lib vocalists or vocalist to add a little mojo to my chorus's particularly
toward the end of the number.
Is there any person/persons you could / would recommend!
In my own country I am finding backing singers to be hard to pin down.
Somehow I think they may be surrounded by agents.

I don't have a specific person to suggest, but if you can find a solo vocalist software instrument that you like, you might be able to contract that artist directly. For example, Francesca Genco (Voice Of Gaia from Soundiron) contracts by the hour (or used to when I was looking for the same thing). I suspect others do, as well.
Or a background vocalist, not part of the band, on a song you like.
Either way, you get to hear them up front.

Thanks Maartian
I will follow your trail.
I have just written to a NZ based person just finding out if they will and what the rates are... never done this before no doubt it will be a learning experience.
Thanks for the pointer.

Websites like Fiverr can also be a good place for this kind of thing.

Fergler I just played one of the Fiverr people on utube sounded fabulous live gig too.
Thing is only 16bit 44Khz return file probably, do you think this matters I usually get all my songs mastered at 96khz?
Thanks for your thoughts

I was not aware of Fiverr. There's a maintenance page up now, so I'll check it out later. Good luck!

I have Dramalto
Dramalto sent me a vide link to her band paying live.
Well I got goose pimples straight off.
This is the method I judge a song if the emotion is there you can not argue with that.
We will see what the outcome is however that said I will ultimately be very satisfied I am sure.
maybe not with my vocal performance but Dramalto's can shine on!

I love the picture!
Yes the Backing vocal has come and been used.
Totally pleased with Dramalto on Fiverr so use her fine singing whenever you can.
I wish I could post the song on soundcloud however I have to tweak it and add a few guitar licks.
Horror upon horror the song may be popular so I am considering holding off publishing until I know whether I will try to start trying to sell, sounds mean I know. I have to get an ISRC code for this one.
There are millions of good-great songs songwriters out there out there but we still dream don't we?
I will let you know where I put this.
