Default add fx shortcut on tracks visible in MCP only

So I came across this little weird behaviour today and I wonder if it is by design or something thats overlooked or something that is somehow specific to my theme/settings somehow...

I created a keyboard shortcut to insert an EQ fx, I can do this on any track as long as the track is visible in the TCP. When it is visible in the TCP I can either select it in the TCP or in the MCP and pressing the shortcut will insert the desired FX. However if the track in question is only visible in the MCP and not in the TCP selecting it in the MCP and pressing the shortcut will not insert the desired FX plugin.

Is this normal? Why is it happening and how can i make it so that I can insert FX using shortcuts on tracks that are not visible on the TCP?

I don't think this is expected behavior. Regular add FX actions do work when either TCP or MCP is hidden. And these insert fx shortcuts and actions do also work when the given track is hidden in MCP. So I think it's reasonable to expect them to work the other way around too.

These actions work like they currently do, so the feature is not really broken per se. At any rate, I created a bug report here:

Hope they fix it. I got all excited about this shortcut when I found out about it, only to realise its next to useless because I can't insert it when I want to. It takes more clicks to make the track visible, then to press the shortcut, then to make it invisible again, than it would to just go to the FX window and insert from there...
