Default MIDI input quantize deal breaker?

So is it safe to say that the MIDI input quantize in REAPER is "broken"?? I've been trying out REAPER and is actually on (or was on) the verge of buying the commercial license. I have noticed that when something truly negative about REAPER can't be addressed, it gets ignored (per this thread here: https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=166479)...but I understand most people are just very tribal about what they use whether is Mac versus PC, or REAPER vs any other DAW.

So back to my original question: Is it safe to say that the MIDI input quantize in REAPER is seriously flawed? Some of the posts in the above thread also mention the fact that it has been that way since the early v5 versions so it doesn't look like there's any intent to address this by the developers (or most of the users here lol). Like I said, I know people are tribal/fanatical about what DAW they use, but friendly feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

(I previously mistakenly posted this in the wrong subforum. My apologies.)

just tested with a kontakt track... quant set to 1/8 and note offs
and recorded a string ensemble patch with lotta chords and other notes played in both fast and slow and overlapping each other, etc.

Had no problems here... win7 pro, reaper 64 ver. 5.92, Kontakt 5.80

so not that I don't believe what people report, I do, but can't reproduce the problem....

this has not been my experience. i do, however, see vague requests and poorly documented error reports get ignored in favor of more specific ones

midi input quantize works fine here and i use it heavily.

the feature was expanded since that thread was created, and it also looks like the issue described in that thread was being conflated with some other issues.

give it a try, if you find a bug let me know and i'll help test it because i need to know if there's a problem here, as it's something i use a lot.

Thanks for the response guys. I'll see if I can upload something that shows what's happening.
