Default A few strange MIDI editor timeline screenshots

I'm surprised noone else has mentioned this - here's a few screenshots of the midi editor timeline doing its own thing. Sometimes it's totally funny and calls x.3.00 x.3.99 (timeline1.jpg), sometimes the emphasised beats are 2 and 4, rather than what I'd expect (1 and 3) (timeline2.jpg) and sometimes the emphasis is on every 3rd beat, rather than 2s or 4s... (timeline3.jpg)

Which is a bit odd.

Hardly the world's most pressing issue, but they sure make midi editing a bit cumbersome sometimes!

OK, no, I was wrong, you were right. I hang my head in shame.

Pics are still weird though.

Yeah I get what you're saying. It's a bit annoying, I totally agree

Yeah - is this due to the zoom state ?
Try zooming in/out to see if that fixes it. I think I've seen that kind of thing before in other apps.....

Amether, I also have some visual problems with the MIDI editor sometimes. Albeit it's really only a graphical thing and doesn't affect playback usually in my case.
Sometimes the green horizontal line (end of part) is totally displaced i.e. or other oddities.

Cheers

I saw 2 different things in the pics

1 - the x.99 thing appears to be a bug - rounding or something
If I zoom in and out in REAPER 1.20, the .99s change back and forth to .00s

2 - the colors of the grid stay correct - the downbeat has a different color line than the other three. The numbering logic did seem to get screwy. Labeling the even beats instead of the odd ones, or labeling every three beats in 4/4.

I can't get mine to do that. I'll go try harder.

Doesn't affect the sound here either, and while you can get rid of it by zooming, it's always the same for a specific point in time, at a zoom level - so if I'm trying to edit THAT, THERE, then it will always be a bit squiffy.
