(FIXED) wrong AI envelope chase behavior (>=5.973 + dev0312)

hello, sorry for a new thread, but i think this applies to everything from the titular pre on -- though i am not positive where the issue began due to new naming conventions.

in this gif from 5.972, the WET param is automated. if a user clicks from beyond the end of the AI to before the beginning of the AI, the parameter chases the next AI point and corrects to that position. this is the expected/desired behavior. see below:



from (i think) 5.973 + dev0312 on, this chase no longer occurs. did i miss an option for this that got introduced, or is this just buggy behavior? this chase is necessary -- otherwise, there is no point of AI being disconnected from track-wide envelope, and a user would have to drop a confirmation AI at every conceivable play point in order to get predictable behavior.
