Avid MediaComposer Shortcuts Scripts (including JKL Shuttle!)

Hello everyone,

i wrote some scripts to mimick the Avid Media Composer keyboard shortcuts.
You can download the scripts here: https://github.com/fernsehmuell/reaper_scripts

Right now there are scripts for: JKL shuttle, IN/OUT marks, select clips/regions on selected tracks.
Remove/lift time selection of selected tracks.

Cool. Looks very useful for my work. The JKL scripts in particular.

These JKL scripts are an absolute godsend for me! I use JKL every day in my day job and was quite frustrated that I couldn't find something similar in Reaper. So, a big thank you, fernsehmuell!!

But I'm stuck getting the J key to work (play at various speeds in reverse). In the instructions it says: 'If you have problems using the Reverse_Play_Shuttle_(J) script or renamed the background-script, then you have to edit the script and insert the new command_id.'

I'm brand-new to scripts (and Reaper) - can anyone tell me exactly how to do this? (I can get into the window to edit the script, but have no idea what to do).

Hello everyone,

i updated the Reverse_Shuttle_Script. You no longer need to edit it yourself to enter the commandID of the background script.

I've just replaced the old Reverse_Shuttle_Script with the new one, but am now getting this error message when I hit the J key:

fernsehmuell_Reverse_Play_Shuttle_(J).lua:7: unexpected symbol near '<'

How exactly did you download the script?
Have you tried using reapack?

My mistake - I've now done this via Reapack and the error message has disappeared. Thank you!
