Default locking SMPTE Postition of tracks (in Logic)

Hi,

I'am a former Logic user and in Logic there was that great function that you could lock a certain tempo of one (midi-) track (rightclicking the track and 'lock SMPTE Position), than choosing another tempo for the project and the tempo of the SMPTE-locked track did not change. So you could have two (or more) tempos at the same time (Conlon Nancarrow!)..
Is something like this possible in Reaper?

Thanks for an answer!

best

ole

Yes, you can do this.

Select the MIDI item (not the track) and use F2 or CTRL F2 (I can't remember which at the moment) to bring up the properties of the MIDI item.

There will be an option that says something like "Ignore project tempo. Use XXX instead." where you can fill in the XXX tempo you want the MIDI item to use.

Thanks for this! I was going bonkers moving around/ copying paired midi and guitar riffs that were different tempos because the tempo markers would screw me up in the shuffle.
