Help with Reamote and VST's please

I have my second computer set up with Reamote and it works well but only sometime. It seems that certain VST's will work OK but others will only work sporadically, some you can change the patch on the fly and others will not allow it.

My two machines are XP's but one is 32 and one 64. The one that is supposed to handle the FX's is the 64. The 32 is tweaked for audio recording and works well but I can't seem to figure out why the LAN with Reamote doesn't work perfectly. Shouldn't it? Is there something I am missing or don't know about or should set differently?

Does it have anything to do with the difference between the 32 and the 64? I don't have a clue.
