Audio and playback cursor disagree

Current version 5.9.61 64 on Windows 10:

Maybe this only happens with a single track unmuted and same containing a single audio item and same with pitch set to a rather large negative value.

After some time working normally, just setting the cursor, playback and stop and doing looped playback: starting playback starts the audio at some point much too early in the song, while the play cursor on the screen works normal. The issue persists until I stop Reaper and restart it. Now everything is back to normal. (Did not check the time count value yet.)

This already did happen several times.

As said: just a single track with a single item. set playback rate to 0.8, doing a time selection and set Repeat playback mode.

The problem seems to happen when moving the right end of the time selection while playback is running.
