Default Reaper selects all MIDI notes to the right of my selected note

So... I can no longer edit MIDI in Reaper because it automatically selects every note to the right of the note I select.

I have no stuck keys, it happens in every project, restarted Reaper, etc.

I assume I accidentally hit a hotkey that turned some stupid feature on. Anybody know what that is?

In the MIDI editor main menu, go to the Options/MIDI editor mouse modifiers. Select the MIDI note left click context. Default action there is Select note. It sounds like yours is set to Select note and all later notes.

That fixed it! Thanks.

The question then is... how the fuck? *lol* Getting to this setting requires digging through several screens which I've never even seen before. Why did this setting suddenly change on its own?

Just a guess, but I think some themes come with customized setting files, so if you have loaded those, that could explain it.

Hmm... plausible hypothesis. Will keep an eye out for that setting changing again. Thanks.
