Default Nektar Impakt hardware preset control via reacontrolmidi

Wanting control hardware synths presets via Nektar Impakt and reacontrolmidi
but cannot pull up reacontrolmidi in reaper as it is assigned as vst and not considered a vsti. Does anyone know a workaround for this? Does anyone have a custom script to make this work? Are there any extensions which might help?

Thanks in advance...

Do you want to change which preset is selected on your hardware using a knob on the Nektar ie. converting a MIDI cc into a program change? Or do you want to just send a program change from the Nektar to the hardware synth? Or something else?

Nektar can pull up the window for vsti from a button on the controller and change patches from two other buttons on the controller (up,down). If you make a reabank and load it into reacontrolmidi you can send program changes. I want to pull up the reacontrolmidi window by pushing the Nektar vsti open window button and then change patches on midi hardware using the buttons on the nektar.

Sorry. I didn't understand what you meant. According to here: https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=163804 right click the VST, choose to rename it and check the instrument checkbox. Does that help?
