Default Tap tempo at 6/8

Hi,

Using tap tempo in 6/8 time signature works like this: One has to press tap for beats 1, 3, 5 etc. Naturally I try to click on 1s and 4s.

Is is just me, or does the tap tempo work in a weird way with 6/8?

It’s because of the MIDI protocol. MIDI can only divide a beat in two, so one beat is always made of two quavers (eighth notes). But there might be ways for the Reaper devs to work around that.

The workaround is to write in 2/4 with a triplet grid or to write in a fast 6/4.

I just had to do this and used 6/4, but the grid divisions are totally wonky! Any suggestions?
