How to give reaper permission for zero latency
hi Everybody,
I'm on a Debian based OS (Xubuntu) and for maximum performance reaper needs permission to write on /dev/cpu_dma_latency. This message appears on terminal everytime I start reaper : /dev/cpu_dma_latency: permission denied I can I give reaper such permission ? Thanks |

Check: Options/Preferences/Audio/Device and "Disable power management...." is that ticked? Untick it and apply, restart.
And if you wanna try it on you need to do this in terminal: sudo chown your_user_name /dev/cpu_dma_latency (if you dare )

Are you running it with sudo permissions ?
@Tobbe: I'm visualizing that message because "disable power management" is ticked. Thank you! chown solved the problem! Now I get "/dev/cpu_dma_latency: set to 0" Thanks to all! |

No, I am running as a user.
I have changed my power management settings for the distro, so I don't need Reaper to change anything. |
