I totally agree. Reaper has always been attacked for the way it looks. I like it but I can see why some might say that Pro Tools looks more professional than most current Reaper themes.
But Imperial changes all that. I think it's "hands down" the best GUI of any DAW. Ever.
And not only will people kill to get their hands on it, but it will actually make many consider a different DAW.
I'm not sure if Cockos has this project on their radar, but they should.
It's a major "Reaper" improvement.

Yes it does/will and they should. I gave a gentle nudge about this a few months back then respectfully butted out. Occassionaly an opportunity arises that should not be passed over no matter what. This is one of them for Cockos. IMHO, it goes well beyond the garden variety side project hence the 48000 views of this thread alone. Mark me words, its a game changer if it actually happens...

Actually i like how the Reaper looks inside theme borders. But the things i don't really like are beyond it. Like white plain windows and old win xp style elements. So i guess theme won't help here unfortunatelly.

Wasn't my theory but yeah, I agree it might not exactly fit here. Just noticing a possible correlation.

Did I offend you? As for it stinking, I never meant that there was some majority of people that did or said bad things. I just got the impression the majority of the thread in various ways was very demotivating to White Tie. Not just the pure negative comments either. Maybe even my own comment here is hurting it (and so I question my own commenting above now). I am not speaking for him - it's just the impression I got from the last, you know, 13 pages of posts.
Anyway I apologize if I offended you or anyone else. I should have had clearer thoughts and words before commenting. See ya.

There are beta testers who've got it. Read the section about Testers below:

- Expected date for a public beta would be 2015. Maybe 2016. That's about as much as I'm prepared to commit to!
- If you don't have a big screen, you have a choice of many hundreds of other themes. There is also the Dead Ringer layout for you, but don't expect too much.
Testers - Nice, I would certainly appreciate more testers if they are the right people, thanks! Please only contact me if you are able to start your message with "I have discretion, an IRC client, at least one big monitor and very good manners". I'll clear some space on my PMs in a moment. Can I respectfully ask not to email me with anything related to this? If you do / already have, please understand that I probably won't read it, I've got busy workstuff going on there.

I shall now teach my testers the meaning of the word 'private', using an axe handle, a length of barbed wire and a kitten. Sometimes you just have to make the lesson memorable...

vStyler, there's a reason themers generally stay out of each other's threads, but I know, you're new here, etc etc *sigh*

So. You'll need a huge monitor to use this theme the way it's intended?
Won't be any good on my MacBook Air?

Great looking theme....it kind of reminds me of the Magix Samplitude / Music Studio look from a few years ago when i used them, everything clear & easy to see...too bad the underlying software drove me nuts! LOL

....like an explosion in a paint factory?
(grin)
And FWIW Albert already has a very very pretty "virtual analog" look going on which I have been playing with and have gotten really comfortable using.
Maybe WT's little snippets have had the desired effect of prompting others to push the envelope after all....
And I am still trying to decide between one big monitor or two smaller ones....
My 19" w/s and the 4:3 17" are getting rather cramped for space

hello to all.
I'm new here on the topic and would like to know if the friends of the imperial theme will be available free of charge or sold. If it is already available for download any of you could post the link? I really liked the theme, congratulations White Tie.

Welcome!
This thread is mainly about baying for the theme.
If you've got a good baying technique then lets hear it!

Maybe i'm wrong but, where are the analog VU meters in this (fantastic!!)concept. Is this simply not possible or is there an other reason?
