Feel free to post screenshots of your modifications. Maybe you have some ideas I could borrow.
Thanks for buying the album! You're the first to do so on Bandcamp!

Some nice orchestration work there, sounds good!
Here's a screenshot... I got tired of the strange look of the curves on the TCP at different heights, so I made it straight. I've got rainbow volume controls, and a pan control that gets larger and smaller. Not for everybody! I used knobman for them...
But I do like how clean the channel looks at minimum height...
I moved routing to the second row, as I don't use it as often as envelopes. And I made a more conventional phase icon.
I also changed the look of selected items. I don't suppose it fits in with the theme, but it grabs my attention, without having to have a (useless) title bar on items.
Also put translucent buttons on the items (of course I only did the ones I actually use...NOT A REAL THEME ) as the white was a little jarring.
Still debating whether to switch to conventional mute buttons rather than FLs 'power' button. I'm kind of used to it, so I'm keeping it for now.
It sure is fun to get into customizing your theme. And this was a really good starting point!
cheers,
-e

I have just deleted it and re-installed it. It now shows up (beta2) but it hasn't worked exactly as some of the screenshots are above though.

Thanks a lot! Interesting to see your modifications. The rounded background is a bit of an eyesore for me too.

I do prefer the beta 1 transport, would be nice to include it as an option (is that possible?) so I fixed the punch-in record indicator.... although now that I set a keycommand for 'home' I don't miss not having that button. But the beta 1 transport also takes up less space, which is important.
I think the thing that annoyed me most was that the pan knob was so big, and larger than the volume knob.
I may try and get advanced and figure out how to get a horizontal fader worked in, when there's room. Oh and since I don't do much dynamic panning, I could move that to the lower level, and...
oops, down the rabbit hole I go!!

You mean these ones (see attached pic)?
If so I right clicked and installed one by one but hasn't done anything.

Thanks Zookthespook!
To those having issues with the transport status text disappearing; Could you try playing around with the font setting in the theme tweaker? As long as you don't save the theme, it won't overwrite it.
Also, right clicking the status bar and screenshotting this menu might be helpful.
So far I haven't been able to recreate the issue.

As I went to screencap that menu I noticed I had Center Transport Controls also ticked. The text appeared when I unticked it!

Hey that worked! Transport text is back if centering is unticked. However, after I click to center it again, it doesn't disappear again unless I restart Reaper.

Wow!!!
I can't believe this! Beautiful work you did, its like a dream come true, cause I love FL mostly and I don't like reaper's look but I like both DAWs
I have a suggestion, the only color that seems too bright is the mixers insert area, and master channel
Right now I think it's so bright, it should be darker kind of like the mixer.
Maybe the arrangement background could be a tad darker and a tad desaturated too
Thanks and keep it up. Would gladly donate to you , please use a Paypal donation email

EDIT: Just figured out the names on my mixer are rotated 180 degrees. they read from top to bottom instead of bottom to top. Can I fix this myself? Thanks again!

Preferences/Appearance and "Draw vertical text bottom-up" and hit apply.

Cool, thanks!
I had a Paypal-link up earlier, but we came to the conclusion that it would be unethical to take money for this directly - since it's so derivative of the work of Image-Line. However, if you want to support me you can check out my bandcamp-page or follow me on SoundCloud.
Yeah, I'm sure I could work more on the colors in general. For instance, when the media explorer is up the colors look a bit all over the place. I tried to be as faithful as possible to FL.
If you want to edit those colors, I believe you need to edit some images. Images with "extmix" in the name, if I remember correctly.

it could be nice to have an "M" button for mute below the "S" instead of the little greeny circle, so there will be less distracting lights when nothing is actually muted.

Having a light as a solo was an experiment for me, and I think it actually works. I've gotten used to it - but I can totally understand those who do not like it.
I wanted to get around the stretching dark part of the TCP backgrounds. What do you think of this?
A benefit to this is that the record-input dropdown gets more space.
Edit: I felt like the IO-arrows were taking a bit too much space.
Edit2:
The input dropdowns were a bit too eyecatching for my tastes. This breaks with FL's look, but I like this better anyway.
Edit3:
Fixed an issue with the input dropdown in MCP.
Edit4:
Hmm, maybe a defined line in between tracks works?

I know what's your saying since I was using FLstudio for 20 years.
but against I prefer to keep the flow of the program itself (reaper), when there are many lights and then 2 or 3 lights off, it is much harder to catch them as if it was oposite.

I actually love the IO arrows. very directive and easy on eyes.
I really dislike the input bar in all themes, I myself tend to remove it completely, only when there is a input it will show up. (but that's something which is more advanced and less directive for the mass.)
anyway you did good job making it less disractive.

I think that a width knob could be more directive like this:
this is my full edited hybrid theme:
I used some of your stuff for my personal use of course

Thanks Reflected. I do agree that it's better to highlight the mute state instead of highlighting unmuted. We'll see how it ends up. For now, I want to keep the FL vibe as much as I can.
It will probably be an alternate layout.

I'm reworking the TCP envelopes a bit.
Keeping the envelope names right-aligned creates a visual distinction compared to tracks.
Edit: Making the learn and parameter modulation buttons available on tiny track sizes.

It's... beautiful...
Literally the only thing I would change is moving the folder collapse/compact icon to the bottom left of the tracks. But I'm so happy about this theme that I will probably get used to how its laid out in here instead, out of appreciation.
Before switching to Reaper I have used FL for 4-5 years.
I love Reaper to bits but always missed the eye candy of FL.
This theme means a lot to me. Thank you SO much.
And I am SO looking forward to the higher rez version, would make this amazing theme even better on my 4K monitor.

Yessir! That was me. Forget I said anything about the folders, I got used to them already. My only nitpick complaint is how I would like for the media items to be at 1.5 higher opacity than what they are at the moment. I'll end up taking care of that myself with some editing skills of my own. I like the lines going through them but they're slightly too present for my taste.

Thanks for the incredible theme. But doesn't it support FX parameters that embed in TCP? I tried but it doesn't show in TCP.

Thanks ProdLostboy.
Try this:
...and wait for it to rebuild everything.
If that doesn't work, try deleting your .reaPeaks files and re-opening the project.

my partner had the same issue after I sent him my reaper files so we have the same reaper setup.
the problem was that peaks path name was copied my computer which is not the same as in his pc. (because the user is different)
you need to make sure that the peaks path is correct and available.
preferences-> general-> paths-> store all peaks caches in alternate path.

Hi Mordi!
Thank you for this fabulous theme that I still use whenever I use Reaper. Would it be possible in the next update to include the new track highlight selection feature?

You mean the lines that appear in the arrange view when a track is selected? Sure, if I can figure out how to do that.

I meant not the open bracket (which is there by default) but the actual lighter color that is applied in the entire track section when selected. :-)

Hi Mordi,
Spent the last few days modding your fantastic theme (thanks to you I have been slowly switching to Affinity Designer and your assets list is of HUGE help (as is Affinity).
I really liked what you did for the TCP and MCP and I know more improvement is on the way, but some of the color-coding was bugging me and I wanted a darker theme along with a different transport (Pro X-Tools’s one).
So I fine-tuned a lot of the assets and color codes (spent ages on theme tweaker) along with adding/mixing a little bit of Walter and changed some parameters :
Managed to get a good render for one of the earlier request in the thread (readable text on small item) :
(Still need to work on items icons for that one).
Edit 1 : Items Icons done
*Toolbar*
I’d love to help more and share whatever I can come up with as I know a lot of people have been asking for a darker theme.
I still need to adjust a lot of things but I’ll probably wait for your next update before committing more time into it, in the meantime I’ll convert some of my remaining non-Affinity assets to Affinity and start diving into Walter so I can actually fix that glitched transport lol (and maybe get something similar to Pro X-Tools inspector https://imgur.com/EDbOFb0)
Anyway, thanks you so much for your work, your theme is a dream come true and I’d love to be able to help you improve it !

Ooh, that looks lovely! Nice work ArKaDaTa!
I do have a version which fixes some issues, including the transport. Also changed how the TCP label looks a bit, and did a lot of work on the envelope panels. I’ll see if I can upload it ASAP.

This is the most eye-pleasing theme, in my opinion, ever. Thank you Mordi. For what it's worth, I think adding support for the new tcp-embedded fx/send list feature would be very popular It's apparently possible to right align those elements so it could remain economical with vertical space like it is now

Thanks! That's awesome to hear. The new features sound cool - I want to incorporate those into the theme if I can.
I'm working on a project where I need long track names that are actually file paths, so I made them right-aligned so I can see the end of the names.
I'll change it back before uploading the next update though.

Just updated the links to beta 3. I'm not sure what I've added since last time, since it's been very incremental. It's a lot of tiny changes.
I think the envelope panels are completely redone.
Also fixed some minor pixel-imperfections on the TCP.
I believe I changed some colors generally in the MIDI editor and in the Media Explorer windows.

Feature request
I've used alot of themes none of them worked for me but this one is amazing. I was wondering if it is possible to view the db values on the meter and the master meter.
Thank you
