Default [Solved] MIDI not aligning with Dynamic Split tool

I'm trying to do some drum replacement but the split tool does not put a MIDI note at the exact point of the split.
Is this expected or am I missing something?

Edit: to solve this go to "Preferences/MIDI" and increase "Ticks per quarter note for new MIDI items", the more you increase it the more accurate. Thanks to user jrk

I'm pretty sure dynamic split is intended for audio rather than midi.

True, but it has "create chromatic MIDI item from slices" option. I suppose lining up the slices and MIDI notes should be at least precise.

Never knew that. Maybe post it in the Bugs forum.

Isn't this to do with midi timing resolution?

I don`t know, how do I adjust that if that's the case?

You could try increasing "ticks per quarter note" (Preferences / MIDI) Might help. I'd be interested to hear if it does.

YES! this definitely improved the accuracy! I tested it by comparing 100 vs 150000 and now it's pretty much perfect. I attached the comparison below.

Thank you!
