Default midi chain - how to remove original input notes between VSTs?

Using the Cthulhu arp VST, which changes midi notes.

Directly after that I put an instrument in the chain.

But now I got a bad effect; the instrument also plays the original input notes. Is there a way to make the first VST to eat all original midi notes?

Already played around with https://jstuff.wordpress.com/js-midi-tools/ but had no luck.

The reason why I put it in a chain and not as separate instruments is to handle tracks easier and somehow it seems to have a better performance.

oh, I have to correct myself. Looks like this is done anyway.

By using the "retrig" in Cuthulhu, the effect is a new chord just starts with the pressed note and it looks like it is a passthrough. To test it, disable the first step in the ARP and there is nothing passed through.

So, cleared - was just a wrong perspective from my side.
