Default [song] I evighet

Hi folks!

A small project, vocal and classical guitar,
a little delicate and naked.

Here: https://clyp.it/02jrlfpz?token=50a0b...1c10601fba26dc

Please have a listen
and tell me what you think.

It's especially mix and edit,
but, whatever grabs your attention.

1. Tone dreams sweet
enjoying herself in dreamland
There, everybody she's ever met
shows up from time to time

There is he who kissed her
And said you must never forget
that I love you forever

2. Tone breathes heavily
The cupboard with the forgotten memories
Tempting, but so painful
to see this image

Time heals all wounds
But, the coupboard with the old stands
And keeps all the memories from yesterday

3. Tone dreams sweet
extends into the heavens
Gets a slight glimpse
of a future that may come

Everything that you hope for
is in a dream to touch
Where you can know your eternity

Sounds good Geir, very raw, intimate, and well done. Heh heh, I kept hearing a string orchestra behind it.

Thank you very much Tod!
Yes, there is still a few tracks spare for you to bring in your violin and cello

I like it.

It has the smoothness that I enjoy. Also like the crackling of the wood and finger string noises.

Well done.

Thanks RDBOIS!
Well, the guitar-noises are not intentional.
I tried to edit, but there's limits to what can be done. Pair of SDCs are nonforgiving,
and I should really play louder with better projection. (Not to mention a bigger room and mics further away)
But, I guess this will have to do for now

Well. I think the guitar finger noises are part of the intimate experience. You can think of them as purposefully part of the song arrangement, rather than annoyances.

I think we have a tendency towards trying to sterilize the natural process of creating music. We think finger string noises are bad, we think breathing in before singing a long verse is bad, etc. This is going to sound strange, but we are doing the same thing in other aspects of human activity. This of agriculture/gardening, for example - we try to sterilize everything - everything is becoming artificial: artificial light, artificial fertiliser, no soil (growing aquaponics), no insects, etc.

I think your song is the closest thing to something natural I've heard in a long time. I brings to the table something different - something very authentic. I say: keep the finger sting noises! LOL

That's touching to read RDBOIS.
Both the general thoughts and the compliment

I agree.. I had no issues with the finger noises.. it's an emotionally charged song, and IMHO, it should not be squeaky clean.

It comes off much better if it's raw.
