Default random crashes, need help !

Hi dear forumers !

You've proven very helpful before, so here I am again
Since about a bit more than a month, I got random crashes when using Reaper. And I mean crashes. But I doubt Reaper is the cause of this, so that's why I need your input guys...

Quick config :
- dual core athlon 4600+
- Win XP
- 2GB RAM
- RME Fireface 800 with latest drivers
- no more UAD-1
- MSI K8N SLi mobo with latest BIOS
- ATI x1650 pro ==> DELL 30" 2560x1600 yeaha

I use Reaper to record, mix and master. I don't use MIDI at all, only audio. Crashes occurs randomly while I'm mixing. A standard project would have 32 to 48 tracks, using mostly bundled plugins (reacomp, reagate, rb1073, 1175, JS limiter...),
Timeworks 4080 reverb,
Waves supertap delay,
BBE Sonic maximizer,
Track EQ from Vegas and
Ozone 3.
That particular project that once again just crashed on me uses 30-35% of CPU time.
So here's what is happening. I'm happily mixing that song (or any other for that matter) and suddenly, the PC would freeze, no mouse movement, no ALT-TAB... dead... And their's that annoying sound buffer looping on the last bit of song played.
So I reboot by pressing the on/off button for 4 secs (no other choice), restart windows and on the restart, the Fireface 800 doesn't intialize. I have to switch it on and off.
Since the crashes started, I changed the Mother board (switch from K8N sli AGP to K8N SLi PCIe), the graphic card, the DVD-writer and the hard disks (removed SATA disks to switch back to IDE). And I did a clean install of windows XP. The only thing I didn't change is the power supply, the RME and the RAM.

Could it be a RAM problem ?
Could it be a Fireface problem ?
Could it be any of the plugins I'm using ?

Thanks in advance for any input !

Take care
Mobo

Thing is I can work a full day without any crash. And without adding or removing any plug-in, it would crash without warning. That's the beauty of random crashes. I posted here so that maybe someone would have had the same kind of problem with the same type of config, saving me days or weeks of unfruitful tests. You can call this lazyness if you want.
