I liked the song, but the filter swept noise thing I found annoying. It's too dry, too persistent and it's not really adding a lot to the music.

Thanks for the comments, reduced the sweep quite a bit, any better? (also reduced the echo on vocals)

Track grows on subsequent listenings which is a great thing.
I like the lyrics you are writing, melody and support vocal reinforcement.
The taming of the sweeps was the right thing to do here .

Unnecessary - drum beater repeats? I 'm not sure if that's what I am hearing but if it helped as a guide for recording you might try removing it in the mix? (just a thought)

Yes, that's better, IMHO of course. Love the chorus. Great lyrics, unfortunately all too true.
