Default Create midi Send to take advantage of Input Quantize

There was a youtube video that I cannot locate (Not by Kenny) that showed how to trigger a hardware synth to record audio but take advantage of the input quantize by using a send. Can someone shed light on how this would be done. I just wannt a play live into Reaper and be done..but with quantize

Im using all external syths and recording on all of them using 16 channels of midi on each one ..so "Freezing" doesnt work so well with this set up.
Thanks

set up a track for recording MIDI & select your input quantize preferences.
send audio from this track to a new track
set the audio track to "record: output"
(set the MIDI track to "record: disable" if you don't want to record the MIDI too)
press "record"

Thanks Domzy

When I was done recording with the 1st midi track set to input quantize
It send to audio and printed in on another track...
then just to see if the midi recorded was already quantized..it wasnt?
Meaning even though I had said to quantize the incoming notes..when I hit Q in the midi roll, I saw the notes adjust or slide to grid... Does that mean the audio wasnt quantized?
